Christmas Celebration at Janani home, Colas Nagar On 17.12.2022 the Prime Trust staff along with the children at Janani home celebrated Christmas. The program started with the prayer song by the children. Bible reading was done by the staff. The children danced for Christmas songs and enacted a skit. The Prime Trust Founder and Managing Director Mr. SM Arasu shared about the developments taken place in Prime Trust during the past months. The program ended with the vote of thanks. Vijayalakshmi (35 yrs) of the Akshaya Chittukuruvi self help group at Anandapuram with Rs.10,000/- to enhance her tailoring occupation . Her 2 sons are doing schooling. Skill Development Program for the Janani home children at Colas Nagar Fly Higher (FHI) enables young people from economically disadvantaged backgrounds by empowering them to deal effectively with the challenges of life through 21st-century skill education. On December 18, 2022 Prime Trust along with the fly higher India team conducted a life skill development program for the children at Janani home, Colas Nagar. One member from the team took a session on cleanliness. Group activities were conducted for the children. The children participated with much interest. 9 children were benefitted through this program. Children’s parliament in Janani Home The Children’s Parliament is a group of children of a particular village/ neighborhood who come together as a group for activities, learning, and to represent their interests and opinion to the decision makers of the village/neighborhood. “Equipping children with the basic concept of the Children’s Parliament provide an opportunity to learn ‘life skills’ for example, about their rights, health, and education as a result they become aware and contribute in decision making process of administrative system through their life skills learning.” On 25.11.2022 the children’s parliament was formed in Janani home. Christmas Crib in Janani Home Christmas crib represents how Jesus was born. Christmas crib exhibits figures that represent infant Jesus, his mother, Mary, and her husband, Joseph. There are various other characters that are part of the Christmas crib. These characters include shepherds, sheep and angels. All these characters are displayed near the manger in a barn (or cave) which is projected to accommodate farm animals. A donkey and an ox are also a part of this scene and Magi and their camels are also included.
