Ayudha Pooja celebrations in Prime Educational and Social Trust
Ayudha Pooja, also known as Ayudha Puja, is a Hindu festival celebrated primarily in South India, especially in the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala. The festival typically falls on the ninth day (Navami) of the Navaratri festival, which usually occurs in September or October. The primary purpose of Ayudha Pooja is to pay homage and offer prayers to the tools, instruments, and vehicles that people use in their daily lives. It is an occasion to show gratitude to these objects that help people earn their livelihood and carry out various tasks efficiently. The festival holds cultural significance in South India, and it is an opportunity for people to come together, decorate their tools and instruments, and celebrate their work and craftsmanship. It is a way of fostering a sense of unity and pride in one's occupation or profession. Ayudha Pooja is also a day for religious observance. It is common for people to perform pujas (worship rituals) to consecrate their tools, vehicles, and other instruments. The tools are cleaned, decorated, and offered special prayers. In some households and workplaces, images or idols of deities are also worshipped. People believe that by performing Ayudha Pooja, they invoke divine blessings for the tools and instruments, which in turn can lead to greater success and prosperity in their work and daily life. In schools and educational institutions, Ayudha Pooja is also observed as an occasion to pay respect to books, musical instruments, and other tools related to education. Students often keep their books and study materials in front of deities and seek blessings for success in their studies. It's a time to express gratitude, seek divine blessings, and celebrate the skills and labor that contribute to one's livelihood and society as a whole.

Vijayadashmi celebrations in Sishubhavan play school
Vijayadashami, also known as Dussehra, is a Hindu festival celebrated with great enthusiasm and significance in India and other parts of the world with Hindu communities. It typically falls in the month of September or October, on the tenth day (Dashami) of the bright half of the Hindu lunar calendar month of Ashwin. Vijayadashami commemorates the victory of Lord Rama over the demon king Ravana in the epic Hindu mythological tale of the Ramayana. It symbolizes the triumph of good (Lord Rama) over evil (Ravana) and reinforces the idea that righteousness and truth will ultimately prevail. In various regions, Vijayadashami is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of knowledge, music, arts, and learning. Students and artists seek her blessings to excel in their respective fields. Vijayadashami is considered an auspicious day to begin new ventures, whether it's starting a business, learning a new skill, or commencing formal education. People seek the blessings of the divine and embark on new journeys with optimism and hope. Apart from its religious and mythological significance, Vijayadashami is celebrated with various cultural events, processions, and fairs. Traditional dances, music, and folk performances are an integral part of the festivities. Custom of Exchanging Gifts: It is customary to exchange gifts and sweets with loved ones during Vijayadashami. This symbolizes goodwill, love, and the sharing of joy with others. Many people choose to engage in acts of charity and giving during Vijayadashami as a way of demonstrating compassion and sharing their blessings with those less fortunate.

Prime Trust provides Educational support for an under privileged engineering student
Prime Trust provides Educational support for an under privileged engineering student
Gopika's mother reached out to us seeking assistance for her daughter's pursuit of an Electronics and Communication Engineering course at the Government Girls Engineering College in Puducherry. Gopika performed exceptionally well in her final school exams and earned admission on the basis of her merit. However, her single mother, who works as a domestic laborer, is unable to afford the tuition fees.
We reached out to the family of Mr. Perumal, who have been steadfast supporters of our cause, and they wholeheartedly agreed to sponsor Gopika's education until she completes her studies. Gopika has now been enrolled and is set to commence her classes on October 19, 2023. Prime Trust extends its sincere appreciation to the family of Mr. Perumal for their generosity.
Would you like to make a difference like Mr. Perumal and brighten the future of an underprivileged child, enabling them to pursue their education? Please don't hesitate to get in touch with us or visit our website for further information: https://www.primetrust-org.in/donate1.html
