Observation of oral hygiene day

Oral hygiene day celebrations at Sishubhavan play school, Muthialpet for the evening remedial school children.

Every year, 1st August is observed as Oral Hygiene Day in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr G B Shankwalkar, the founder of the Indian Society of Periodontology.

Prime Trust along with the Vel Dental Clinic team conducted competitions on oral hygiene for the evening remedial school children on 01/08/2022 at 5:30 pm in Sishubhavan Play School. Our children participated with enthusiasm in various competitions like drawing, speech and fancy dress. The talks were about the importance of oral hygiene. One of the children demonstrated the steps in brushing our teeth.

Dr. Thangavelu and his team encouraged the children by giving certificates and prizes. The children enjoyed the program. This program was organized by Mrs. Mary, Program Manager and Mrs. Bhavani, Coordinator, Sishubhavan.

Experience of MSW intern Ms Krishnapriya from central university of kerala.

Experience with Prime Trust - Ms. Krishnapriya, MSW intern from the Central university of Kerela

This is my first experience in handling craft session and I feel very happy about that. The children participated very actively in the craft classes. It was a pleasure to participate and mobilize people for the community program – free dental camp. The fund raising activity was a new and different experience for me with new people to interact. Interaction with the Self help group members was a good experience for me. Working with the DIY tools was a new experience and I was able to learn new ways of thinking.

Overall my internship period was a time of learning and experimentation for me.  I thank the Prime Trust founder Mr. SM Arasu for giving me the opportunity to do my internship with Prime Trust.

We couldn't be more thrilled to express our heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional interns from Central University. From the moment ...
