Perunthalaivar Kamarajar’s birth anniversary celebration in the Muthialpet evening school – 15.07.2023
Perunthalaivar Kamarajar, often referred to as "Kamarajar," was a prominent Indian politician and leader from Tamil Nadu, and he is widely celebrated for his contributions to the state's educational system and welfare.
Kumaraswami Kamaraj (1903-1975) was known for his simplicity and integrity. He was the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu (then called Madras State) and later the President of the Indian National Congress. Under his leadership, significant educational reforms took place in Tamil Nadu, which led to the construction of thousands of schools and the introduction of the midday meal scheme for school children.
The children in Muthialpet evening school celebrated the birth anniversary of Kamarajar by distributing sweets, giving speeches about him and by drawing his picture.
