Experience of the MSW interns from Hindustan college.

Experience of the MSW interns from the Hindusthan college of Arts and Science with Prime Trust 27/06/2022 to 11/07/2022

·         We the students of Hindusthan College of Arts and Science, MSW Department had the opportunity to take training from Prime Trust organization for 15 days. The Trust has started a play school named Sishu Bhavan Play School. The play school includes Day Care, Play Group, Games, Activities, etc. We made posters of the Play School for the distribution as advertisement.

·         The next learning we could get from the organization was the content writing on different topics like fundraising process, peer learning network, donor captains, importance of networking, cultivating major donors, etc. Creating content for these topics helped us to gain more knowledge about it.

·         We had visited Janani Home to interact with the children and also conducted few group activities for the girls. Each one of us made a case study to know the children and their feelings. This helped us to know the communication or counseling process for a child and how it should be handled carefully without hurting the children’s feelings or emotions.

·         It was a good learning experience for the Social Work students as we could understand how an organization is run and how funds are raised.

·         We could also learn to organize a camp, how to manage finances and how to communicate with children for their relaxation.

We thank the Prime Trust founder Mr. SM Arasu for giving us the opportunity to do our internship with the esteemed organization.
