Visit to RUHSA, CMC Vellore The Rural Unit for Health and Social Affairs (RUHSA) was started by CMC as a response to the felt need for providing health care services to a most backward rural development block in Vellore district – K V Kuppam Block. On 21.03.2023 the Prime Trust Founder and Managing Trustee Mr. SM Arasu, the staff, a beneficiary from the Varagupet village – Dindivanam, the MBA interns from S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai visited the RUHSA, Vellore. The team had a discussion with Mr. Paul Das, Consultant regarding the possible Income Generation programs that can be implemented at Varagupet Tailoring unit. Further steps are to be taken. Awareness Program for School going Children

Awareness Program for School going Children Nowadays, mobile has become a priority in everyone's life, so every person uses them in their daily life for communication, business purposes, and other activities. We know that everything has its own impacts, good or bad. From the right perspective, the mobile phone is an extraordinary invention for humans, but using it for many hours constantly will create several problems. Prime Trust organized an awareness session for the school-going children in Janani Home, Colas Nagar. On 18.03.2023 the students from Women’s Christian College, Chennai – Visual Communications department conducted an awareness program on the advantages and disadvantages of mobile phones for the school-going children from Muthialpet evening school, Janani home, and Rasu Udayar thottam. About 40 children participated in the program. Games were conducted for the children. Snacks and lunch were provided. The program started at 10:30 am and ended at 2 pm. Prime Trust thanks the students for their time and contribution. Children’s Parliament in Anandapuram Village, Puducherry

Children’s Parliament in Anandapuram Village, Puducherry The Children’s Parliament is a group of children of a particular village/ neighborhood who come together as a group for activities, learning, and to represent their interests and opinion to the decision makers of the village/neighborhood. The formation of Children’s Parliament has been done with the following objective; “Equipping children with the basic concept of the Children’s Parliament provide an opportunity to learn ‘life skills’ for example, about their rights, health, and education as a result they become aware and contribute in decision making process of administrative system through their life skills learning.” On 02.03.2023 a children’s parliament was formed in Anandapuram village, Puducherry. The MSW interns from Alagappa University, Karaikudi facilitated a discussion among the members of the Children’s Parliament. The different needs of the village were discussed by the children. The following children were selected as the following. Gokul – President, Bala – Secretary, Elamaran - Treasurer, DivyaShree – Vice President, Rohith – Joint Secretary. Women's day Celebration

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. International Women's Day is a time to reflect on progress made, to call for change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women, who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities. On 04.03.2023, Saturday the women's day was celebrated in Janani Home by the staff of Prime Trust and the women of the Self Help Groups. Rangoli competition, Cooking competition, Speech competition and games were conducted for the women. Mr. SM Arasu, Founder and Managing Trustee and Mr. Sivakumar, trustee of Prime Educational and Social Trust gave special speech on the significance of women. The women enjoyed participating in the program. Prizes were given.
