Celebrating the 77th Independence Day at Janani Home – 15.08.2023
Celebrating the Independence Day holds a significant meaning for any country, as it not only commemorates the sacrifices made by our forefathers but also instills a sense of pride and unity among its citizens. Events like these at organizations such as the Prime Educational and Social Trust, especially at places like Janani Home where young minds reside, help inculcate a sense of national pride and responsibility among the children.
The day started with the hoisting of the tricolor flag followed by the national anthem. It's a solemn event, filling the heart with patriotic fervor. The children performed dance to a patriotic song. The children and staff members delivered speeches and sang songs on the significance of Independence Day, famous freedom fighters, and the importance of preserving our freedom.
Mr. Sivakumar, the trustee of Prime Trust gave the special speech. Mr. Zach, volunteer from Canada was the guest of honour. Refreshments were provided. It was a memorable event for everyone. Such events not only educate the children but also help in creating informed and responsible citizens for the future.

Perunthalaivar Kamarajar’s birth anniversary celebration in the Muthialpet evening school – 15.07.2023
Perunthalaivar Kamarajar, often referred to as "Kamarajar," was a prominent Indian politician and leader from Tamil Nadu, and he is widely celebrated for his contributions to the state's educational system and welfare.
Kumaraswami Kamaraj (1903-1975) was known for his simplicity and integrity. He was the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu (then called Madras State) and later the President of the Indian National Congress. Under his leadership, significant educational reforms took place in Tamil Nadu, which led to the construction of thousands of schools and the introduction of the midday meal scheme for school children.
